A glimpse about Patent Leather

One thing that most party girls will need is the gorgeous, Patent Leather.

Patent leather is known as a type of leather with a glossy surface which easy to clean. Technically, the hide surface which (mostly) has no grain, is coated by chemicals that give a shiny and reflective surface. The majority of patent leathers are manufactured with polyurethane coating (hope you’re familiar with that chemical :D). Patent leather is basically light and thin, usually used for shoes, handbags, wallets, and clothes.

Cleaning for patent leather probably can be easily done by wiping a damp cloth on its surface, if necessary, with mild soap. On the other hand, it is also susceptible to scratches/scuff due to the coating’s properties. Scratches on patent leather might be a big problem, but we need no worry because everything also has its own solution.

One easy thing you could try is to put some non-acetone nail polish remover on a cotton pad and wipe over the scuff mark to remove it. Another way is by trying to rub alcohol on – but don’t use too much as it also takes off the dye. If it’s a serious flaw, a premium treatment might be needed to get a fresh new look for your goodies. At Kaya Leathers, we have experts who frequently handle cases of serious damage to patent leather. It could be discoloration, deep scratches, and other harsh damages. Well, here is the example:

Look at its shiny color, you can even glaze on its surface.

Over and above, we need to take care of each of our lovely goodies, no matter what. Patent leather is remarkably easy to take care of, only by damping a warm cloth each time you wear it. Thus, your night won’t feel less because you have your patent leather right in order.
